Aviva’s new specialist cover is aimed at any sized business, whether it is operating a single solar panel or a national onshore wind farm, and includes elements such as public liability for failure to supply power. Environmental consultancies working in areas such as land remediation, geological surveying, pollution control and environmental monitoring, are also specially catered for.
Green cover
Aviva said its public liability cover will now include £1 million worth of cover for failure to supply power and £1 million worth of cover for any reduction in the value of property due to exposure of electromagnetic radiation or electromagnetic fields. Professional indemnity cover is also available for environmental consultants, up to the value of £5 million.
