Preston-based Urban Water says it plans to drill a hole through the floor of an underground car park at the venue to reach an underground reservoir or ‘aquifer' water, the type of which lie under many parts of the UK's major towns and cities.
The water is then pumped to the surface where it is treated to provide an additional water supply.
