The BSV scheme enables businesses, entrepreneurs and social enterprises (particularly those based in Wolverhampton) to gain expertise from the University of Wolverhampton knowledge base.
The Scheme is administered by University of Wolverhampton
Business Solutions Vouchers are worth up to £5000 and can be redeemed against the cost of practical advice, expertise and access to specialist equipment/services provided by the University in relation to specific innovation related projects
Companies that have worked with University of Wolverhampton beforeon similar schemeswill still be able to access a voucher worth up to £5,000, but it will be offered on a percentage basis depending upon the amount of previous assistance received. The percentage grant towards total project costs will be at a level of 50%, 65%, 80% or 100%, with larger percentage grant for companies that have benefitted least from previous subsidized work provided by the University. This will be clarified when the University Advisor meets with the applicant and the total Previous Support Value (PSV) will be determined. This will then, in turn, determine the level of grant assistance received for the particular BSV.
In all cases, the maximum grant amount is £5,000 and the company will be invoiced for the amount of contribution they must pay, together with the VAT on the whole project value.
1) Initial interest in submitting an application should be registered with the Business Solutions Centre
2) A University of Wolverhampton Advisor will be appointed to discuss the project and potential application with the applicant
3) All applications must be made on the correct Application Form. The appointed University of Wolverhampton representative will offer assistance to complete the application, and it is strongly recommended that applicants take advantage of this facility.
4) The Declaration on the Form must be signed by the Applicant.
5) The completed application is then emailed or delivered to the BSV scheme administrator and will be submitted to the next monthly meeting of the Review Panel
6) The applications will be reviewed by the Review Panel and up to 20 vouchers issued each month. Vouchers will be issued to the ‘best’ applications received that month. Final decision will be made by the Review Panel
