Taking place in Poznan, Poland on 23-34th November 2010, Poleko is the largest trade show of its kind in Eastern Europe and is an excellent opportunity for West Midlands companies working in the fields of waste management, water, sewerage, air, renewable energy, low energy-housing, control and measurement equipment.
The Polish government has committed to spending more than €16 billion on environmental projects in the next six years (up to 2016), of which 55% will be water and waste water projects, 29% air pollution control, 10% waste management and 6% on other projects.
The visit to Poleko 2010 will allow regional companies to meet potential partners and clients in this massively growing market.
The visit is being led by James Ahearne, UK Trade and Investment's West Midlands International Cluster Coordinator for Environmental Technologies.
James said:
"Poland is an exciting, growing market for the environmental protection sector with many opportunities for West Midlands firms. Local companies could benefit hugely by joining us at this industry focused event. There are still some places available and I would urge anyone interested in taking part to contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."
Participation in this visit is free of charge. Some of the benefits provided by UK Trade & Investment include:
• Briefing on opportunities in the Polish market for environmental goods and services;
• Excellent networking opportunities such as introductions to key players in the industry;
• New contacts and shared intelligence within the market visit group;
• Grant of £250 towards travel and accommodation costs.
