Growing Green is go, go, go!

27/01/2011
Over 60 companies have snapped up exhibition stands to showcase environmental products, components and solutions made in and around the West Midlands at Growing Green 2011.
Growing Green 2011 is a green technology exhibition finditinbirmingham and finditinsandwell are hosting together.
It will take place on Wednesday, February 23, from 9:30am – 4pm at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

They plan to welcome over a thousand guests – and spaces are filling up fast.

Have you signed up yet?

At this huge networking and insight day, designed to nurture the Midlands' green supply chain, you’ll meet big-name contractors, world-class suppliers... and even a local celebrity or two!

Many high-profile organisations and agencies (who hold the purse strings on local grants!) will be on hand to give you guidance on the day, including:

• Birmingham City Council
• The Manufacturing Advisory Service
• RESCO
• Sandwell College
• Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
• UKTI (UK Trade & Investment)
• The University of Wolverhampton's Knowledge Transfer Partnership.

And the industry leaders hosting seminars include:

• Skanska (recently voted 'the UK's greenest construction firm')
• Crown Paints
• Interserve
• Thomas Vale

Professor Carl Chinn MBE, the local historian, will deliver a rousing speech in the morning. And renowned local entrepreneur and motivational speaker Toni-Anne Jennings will compere the programme of speakers.

“Architects, construction and manufacturing professionals, buyers and decision makers are strongly encouraged to come along and learn about new markets” said Stuart Horton, the project manager of finditinbirmingham.

"They will be able to meet and network with scores of potential manufacturers and suppliers who are capable of diversifying and rising to the challenge of producing the environmental technology, sustainable materials and components that the industry leaders and building designers require while helping to stimulate the region's economy."
